The Ultimate Blue + Blackberry Açai Bowl
Here’s an ingredient we don’t see very often in the humble açai bowl - blackberries! Not much is needed to pull its weight and when combined with blueberries and of course the açai, you have one huge antioxidant hit (specifically of the same antioxidant, anthocyanin), making this recipe perfect for mopping up free radicals, helping fight ageing of the skin and protecting the cardiovascular system. What’s not to love about purple food??!
2 frozen bananas
2 sachets Sambazon Unsweetened Açai
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup frozen blackberries
Splash of coconut water
Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until combined. Pour into a bowl and top with sliced banana, fresh raspberries, raw or dark chocolate, goji or Inca berries and orange slices. Yummo!
